Mexico City: Computer Art Conference
I was invited to partecipate to the Computer Art Conference in Mexico with 'The Ball in the Hole'. Since i could not go there, i proposed a remote interaction, something like a ogg/theora stream and live interview. Though in South America people like Umberto Eco, Semiotics, Orkut, Second Life...

Ecco un estratto dell'intervista:
"Credo che il blog abbia un valore 'psicomagico', il fatto di condividere e non solo scrivere determinate esperienze libera in parte l'animo di colui che scrive.
Inoltre credo sia la prima volta nella storia che le donne parlano di lore stesse in modo cosi' massiccio e capillare. Le donne hanno finalmente uno spazio, e la creatura femminile si propone, svela la sua identita', esce allo scoperto. E' finito il tempo della segregazione, finalmente la misoginia potra' essere per lo meno motivata: noi donne ci raccontiamo, paure pregi e difetti! Dunque, se l'oggetto uomo in quanto tale continuera' ad avere paura, questo sara' in base alla conoscenza del soggetto donna; ci allontaniamo dalla xenofobia, dalla paura del diverso in quanto tale, dal semplice timore di cio' che non si conosce..."

Vortex in a cloud
Video Vortex is over and i did not have time to add information on this blog.
Fortunately other people made a systematic documentation of the event, so i drop here this link from the 'master of media' for those interested, though i did not read it yet.

FORTH TV
I had fun spending the weekend hacking with nice people and friends.
Forth TV is an experimental idea developed by Tom Schouten. The game is building a circuit with a pic chip (or similar) to draw on a television monitor typing commands on a terminal. The programming language is FORTH. The project is part of Brood, forth development system for microcontrollers.
The chain is computer -> usb -> serial -> pic chip -> video cable -> tv.
Fortunately there is someone thinking of serious stuff to do with all these televisions around us.
